Narrator: One unfortunate thing about pain is that it can be very addictive. At some point, you’ll get so attached to the pain of heartbreak that it’ll direct the entire perspective of your life. You’ll know nothing other than pain. Even when you find a cure, you’ll still silently wish or crave that pain because you know that it’s the only thing that can keep you sane. It’s insanity. But it’s what oils your heart. Iya Paso had gotten so used to the heartbreak that she silently wished things could go back to normal where her husband or ex now might still be in her life. His absence left a massive hole in her life. One that she’s so confident that nothing might ever be able to fill. The spot in her heart is more profound than the 6 feet she’d most likely be buried in. But it was time to evolve from her abuser. The cravings are usual. It’s called 'Stockholm Syndrome.’ She was unashamed of her feelings towards him, both in the past and in the present. She still felt something for him, but it’s best she cut him off entirely from her life before he ruins her and their kids with his greed. Time heals everything. She hopes time is kind enough with her and heals her broken heart, making her finally purge Bamgbose from her mind. With one swoop, she pens her signature on the divorce papers. Finally, she had broken loose from the shackles of the handsome military man she met more than two decades ago. This time, she heaved a sigh of relief. She dropped the pen and whispered, 'To new beginnings.’
